Rule 18
Feed industry license
(1) A person who wants to produce grain products should take the recommendation of the Central Food Research Institute before submitting an application to the Department of Industry to establish an industry.
(2) A person who wants to get a recommendation as per sub-rule (1) should prepare a plan and submit an application to the Central Food Research Institute in relation to the industry he wants to establish:-
(a) Type of Industry,
(b) Machinery required for industry,
(c) Technical Skills,
(d) Cleanliness arrangements,
(e) Type and source of raw materials,
(f) In case of double consumption of one bag while packing the grain material, arrangements for spraying disinfectant on such bags.
(3) If the application under sub-rule (2) is received, the Central Food Research Institute will modify the plan of the proposed grain industry as necessary and make a recommendation to allow the establishment of the grain industry.
(4) After establishing the grain industry, before starting the production of grain material, a license as per schedule-8 should be obtained from the Central Food Research Institute by paying twenty rupees.
(5) Feed industries established before the commencement of this regulation shall, within three months from the date of commencement of this regulation, submit the details as per sub-rule (2) and apply to the Central Food Research Institute and pay a fee of twenty rupees and obtain a license as per Schedule-8.
(6) The license according to sub-rules (4) and (5) shall be kept in the industrial premises so that it can be shown to the local authority or the staff appointed by him or the grain inspector when they search.
